Based in the Cotswold countryside Sam Wilson creates bold linoprint designs inspired by her printmaking and illustration background. With designs such as Owl & Fox, Running Hare and Through the Fields, Sam has created a range of rustic homewares for the Modern country home. With her husband Mark and a growing team they run the expanding business together.
Working from their 400 year old cottage in the tiny hamlet of Saintbury, which she describes as 'the middle of nowhere', Sam has sheep at her window and a hedgerow full of blackbirds. “ I’m so lucky to live in this beautiful countryside. I love exploring the local woods and fields for design inspiration. ”
Made by small firms in the UK, including textiles from Lancashire and ceramics from Stoke on Trent, Sam is passionate about keeping up her links with the British manufacturing heritage.
Sam & Mark are delighted to have won the Home Retailer category, in ‘Country Homes and Interiors, my Country Business Awards 2017’.
“ We can’t quite believe it! Two years ago we were selling from table tops at local fairs and now we have a thriving shop on the High St and a fledgling wholesale business. It’s been such a fun and crazy journey so far, and we are only just starting to find our way.”
"If you get chance, visit their beautiful shop in Chipping Campden High Street where beautifully handmade home and lifestyle products, housewares, and curiosities are for sale alongside their own collections. Set in an historic 400 yr old building, stripped back to it’s original character with bare floor boards and stone walls, they manage to bring back the romance of an old – fashioned general store, which the shop once was."
